בס"ד

I'm looking to see if anyone here would like to have a Mussar circle.  I'm a novice in Mussar, but I am looking to form, or join, a circle for Mussar study.  Is there a Mussar group already here?  If not, is anyone interested in forming one?

Let me apologize if this have been covered somewhere, but I'm new here, so excuse me if I haven't come across it yet.

A mussar circle is simply a group of people who assemble or meet to practice and study mussar.  Mussar is Jewish discipline for spiritual growth and development through practical applications.  I'm not any expert on Mussar.  I've read some books on it and believe it could be a good discipline for me personally.

I was envisioning a circle that would agree on a Mussar trait for study for a week and share our insights about each week's focus trait.  Or perhaps select a Mussar study selection for common reading.  But I want the group to form a consensus on what we would do.

Well, I guess the best way is simply to start.  I will start and see if others care to join me in a Mussar circle.

For this week I will be focused on the trait of Emet.  As part of my studies I will read chapter 18 of "Everyday Holiness" (a book on Mussar) by Alan Morinis ( http://www.amazon.com/Everyday-Holiness-Jewish-Spiritual-Mussar/dp/1590303687 )

If anyone else has suggestions or study materials that they can suggest, feel free to join in.

This week's Mussar trait is Moderation.  I'll try not to go overboard with it.
