What's the difference between Chometz and Matzah? Inaction. Leave the dough alone and it becomes chometz, work it and don't stop and becomes matzah. If we fight our Y"H actively we can be Matzah yidden, but if we just stay inactive and don't fight it every day, it will get us, it will bury us in its puffed up state.

What do you think about that idea?
אם אין אני לי מי לי - I gotta take responsibility for myself!

וכשאני לעצמי מה אני - That's why I need all of you!

ואם לא עכשיו אימתי - That's why I'm here!

Thank you all!

Who is the dough, and who is the baker?

If seor is the Y"H, then "we" are the dough. Matzah represents no Y"H, no self interest.

Who is working the dough? I don't know the answer.

It says not to be "machmitz a mitzvah". I guess in that case the mitzvah is the dough (and we are the baker), and letting it sit around is letting it become chometz, like you said, we have to "work it".

So, I guess I see your point regarding mitzvos.

Then again, this thought is only half-baked (sorry, couldn't resist)
