If you love someone you should give them a new chance and wipe their slate clean

a relationship needs time wherein it is your sole focus

relationships need talk talk talk

one day you eat lots, next day none, all for the same One

powertools, honey, bee traps and machzorim, each thing in it's correct time

Sometimes life is like tuna with not enough mayonaise

Yom Kippur:

The Holy Kohen Godol, while doing the Holy Avodah, in the Holy Beis Hamikdash, in the Holy day of Yom Kippur needed to immerse in the mikve 5 times and purify himself with the kiyor 10 times!

Even the holiest of men must constantly work on becoming purer & purer!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Holy Kohen Godol, in the Holy Beis Hamikdash, in the Holy day of Yom Kippur needed to take steps [bordering on the extreme!] to stay tahor! (i.e. care in what he ate, staying wake all night, etc.)
One of the miracles that are enumerated as happening in the Beis Hamikdash is that Kohen Godol never experienced an impurity.  >Even after taking ALL THOSE PRECAUTIONS it is still considered a miracle from Hashem to stay clean & Kodosh!
Yetzer Horah maniach umos haolam umisgareh beson'eihem shel Yisroel - The Yetzer Horah leaves the gentiles & attacks the Jewish People!    .....U'betalmidei chachamim yoseir mekulam - and in Talmudei Chachamim more than other Jews. (Mesechta Sukkah)
The Yetzer Horah has 'good taste'. He seeks only the 'prime cuts'! When we see that he is trying so hard to get us caught in his web, we should take that as a major complement!
It is not every day that we get a complement from a Malach!
On Yom Kippur we 'come clean' to the RBSO. We spell out what we did, what we messed up, the things we have wrong perspectives on and so on.
One might think that doing so would cause a distance and a rift between us and the RBSO. After all we just read a litany of dirty laundry we are carrying around.
Just the opposite.
שיר השירים ג': צאינה וראינה בנות ציון במלך שלמה בעטרה שעטרה לו אמו ביום חתנתו וביום שמחת לבו,
ביום חתנתו - זה מתן תורה, וביום שמחת לבו - זה בנין בית המקדש, שיבנה במהרה בימינו -תענית כו,ע"א
ופירש רש"י: זה מתן תורה - יום הכפורים, שניתנו בו לוחות האחרונות
Yom Kippur is a chasuna (keveyachol), between us and the RBSO.
He wants us to come forward, be honest, admit and recognize where we are and what we did. And move on, try to live better, improve ourselves by reaching out for His help and for our chaverim's help. Then He wipes the slate clean and we dance with happiness (Sukkos) for seven days (Sheva brachos?)
Yehi ratzon that we all be zocheh to this
