Do I really have to be stuck dealing with this garbage?How am I supposed to accomplish my tachlis when i have to be dealing with these things?It might be something with your spouse,child,partner,boss,and if your honest enough some character flaw in yourself.Well look no farther then Ahron Hakohen the most holy person in klal yisrael,he was so involved in avodas hakodesh that he was not allowed to become tomei to his own mother.Davka Ahron had the job of cleaning the menorah,he had to take out the old wicks,wipe away the oil,and the leftover grime of the day before.Dont you think they could of imported a lady from ukraine,or mexico to do that job.Remember Ahron had to do this every single day no matter how many koranos and no matter how many marriages he saved that day or week,he still had to clean the menorah.WHY DOES THE KOHEN GADOL GOTTA DEAL WITH THIS STUFF?                  Maybe the explanation is, to do all the avodah in the bais hamikdash was special but to clean the menorah and  treat it just as a karbon that took strength only a true gibor someone with power can do such a job.That is  because inorder to properly prepare the menorah the kohen gadol must change his whole view of life. He must be on the level to  realize that closeness to god lies in every single act,even though with our view we might say this is  not spirituality,this makes me deal with petty, low level things.Is this how hashem wants me to make an impact on this world? Can this really be part of the avodah?There is no real growth from this.Now the emes is just the opposite, davka from these kind of things is the light of the menorah lit,and yes ,this is on the level of ringing a korban.These uchie things in your life, if you humble yourself to deal with them,and yes it might be every single day it will instill in you a deep connection to hashem and only through this gut wrenching work  will you make real deep changes that build you to reach your true potential.So keep up the good work

wow.  great chizuk indeed.  How many of us look around (or try not to look around) and think, great, is this my lot, spending the rest of my days worrying about guarding my eyes.... etc.  but this is the grime work.
