maybe get the rosh yeshiva to give a good old fashioned fire and brimstone speech about how the worst stuff can be had on the internet and any bochur who brings a device that can access the internet to yeshiva will face dire consequences.

at the same time, the r'y or the mashgiach should write up a letter explaining to the bochurim how it is a widespread nisayon and many people have fallen into things beyond their control. offer to be a shoulder and an ear for anyone who might need assistance in this, how to best safeguard themselves. mail the letter to all the talmidim at home with a request for the parents to share it with their sons. you can even use the latest kol koreh from the Moetzes as the pretense for the letter.

this way you can promote the strict prohibition of the devices while allowing for the return of any wayward bochurim.

Problem is that this yeshiva is beis medrash only, and do to this fact the RY and Mashgiach are not so much on top of the guys. There is noone who goes through the bachhurims rooms that can check to see if they would be following this new rule. Therefor, making such a rule will just become a joke. Therein lies the problem.

The problem is not the unrestricted wifi. The problem is the devices that pick it up.

Would you consider writing an anonymous open letter to http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/ ? I bet that would get the attention of your Yeshiva administration and many other Yeshivos too. You don't need to mention your Yeshiva's name, nor do I think you should. Let every Yeshiva think it's them and take precautions.

These are problems that need to be addressed, both by having the neighbors block their wifi and having the Yeshiva use their influence (with whatever method they find effective) to stop the Bochurim from accessing the wifi through their devices.

While you're writing the letter maybe you can slip GYE into the message too

I'd like to do teshuva for something, i gave the first post in this thread to respond, and i admit i resonded with way too much anger. its something i'll fix. justifying it is useless, nonethe less fyi the whole way i got into lust addiction and all its ensuing terrible sad things, was because someone outside shul on shabbos morning told me about mbat*ng and lust;14 years later and the rest was history.
