Yetzer says: You're feeling so yucchy anyways, might as well make the most of it...

EBD says: Sorry Mac, you're a little too late -the K-9 password is way out of my hands. Too bad I didn't do that a while ago, when I was feeling good and had my guard down.

But he's good at playing with my feelings, because I am still feeling lousy. But, I am trying to just truck -my feelings at this point are irrelevant. I have the opportunity to do what's right.

So there!

You are feeling lousy.

That is a statement.

Doing that will make us feel better.

That is a hypothesis.

Past experience shows that it only produces temporary results.

A kumzitz's geshmak lingers longer.

Which will you pick?

I am upset?

At who?

At Hashem?

At myself?

At the Yetzer Horah?

At my past history which brought me to this point?

What is MY tachlis in this world?

To be Marbitz Torah?

To raise a family?

To struggle with THIS Yetzer Horah?

How long am I destined to live?

As long as it takes to accomplish my mission in life.

If I can accomplished it in less time, I would have less time to live.

Did I really expect to finish my work in 32 days?

32 Days = Lev.

The 32 days broke down = Lev nishbar.

Ben Durdaya feels bad = v'nidkeh.

Lev nishbar v'nidkeh = Elokim lo sivzeh.

It is precious in His eyes!

Yes, even thought he's just doing his job.

Hey, you've got something there...

Good question.

Once I used to think so, today I'm not so sure.

Yosef Hatzadik wrote on 31 Jan 2011 21:17:

Apparently, G-d did give me one K"h.

Yosef Hatzadik wrote on 31 Jan 2011 21:17:

Must be... G-d did give me this one...

No... I don't know what I expected. I guess it's like I said earlier...

The truck was in cruise control and... the awareness was lowered... and when I hit that patch of ice... I had to find the brake pedal and my foot had fallen asleep.

Thanks Yossel,

You help me sort out my feelings a bit...

Thanks for reminding me of that piece.

Part of the YH's game is to try and make you feel like a hypocrite.

To try and shuckle that off, I'll post an incredible anecdote that I saw today:

The P'nei Menachem once related that after "The Big Fire" in Ger (I don't know when that was, but apparently it was a big fire) which burnt down the Sefas Emes's house and extensive library, the insurance company sent down assessors to determine the cause of the fire and to put a price tag on the damage.

Passing by them in the courtyard the Sefas Emes saw them conversing among themselves, and sent one of his aides over to see what they were discussing. The aide came back, and reported that in their professional opinion the fire was started by a carelessly discarded cigarette butt.

Said the Sefas Emes, "If one careless -seemingly insignificant -mishap, can wreak such destruction and devastation -How much more powerful and far reaching must the effects of a few small -but meaningful  -steps taken in Avodas Hashem be!!!"

Oh, right.

I forgot to thank you.

I didn't have internet access after Wednesday last week, but my Chaver ZemirosShabbos passed on the message to learn that piece [yes, in your name].

It added a tool to my arsenal. I started my sholom zachur rounds in a bit sour'dig mood. Thinking about that shtikel was the main tool that I used to lift myself up.

Wow! I was off the forum for the whole day and Then I came back to find a truck crash, Green Elephants, and a kumzitz.

Remember (it probably feels like a lifetime ago) that I told you how inspiring your post was just the other day?  Well, let me let you in on a little secret; that inspiration is still there, and can never ever ever be removed.  Not only that, but we can now build upon the lessons that you have taught us in the ensuing moments from your fall.  You wasted no time in owning up to the fact.  You also posted 31 days day 1.  Wasting no time in getting back up. Finally we saw the entire family of friends that you have built up come to your rescue.  Imagine if someone where to get into a crash and had no one to call to come pick him up.  You had people jostling with each other as they raced to be the one that picked you up.  And unlike AAA, there's no mileage limits on the pickups here at GYE.  No matter how far out you're stranded we're on our way.

Gee...
Im gone for a few hours and i miss 253 pages of material......

My truck just didnt start today. i got out and banged the hood, there was a loud noise, and the whole thing began shaking. I hopped back in, put the pedal to the metal in my shaking little merkava. I said tzidok hadin in case s/thing wld happen and merged into the highway. Barely pushing 30mph, i leaned forward to turn on the radio.

s/thing about a big party, with steak, and music....too much static, cant hear what theyre saying.

Suddenly, smoke began billowing from beneath my truck, the shaking became like an earthquake, and steering wheel locked, and pungent black fluid shot forth from my hood, like the back of a whale.
Then began a gas leak, and i screamed again shma yisrael and said tefillas haderech in hebrew, yiddish, and spanish.
I rolled down the window, climbed half way out, waited till my explosive moving vehicle passed the side of a seemingly dark and forbidden forest-and i leaped out of the window, rolled three times and landed with barely a scratch. The truck careened head on with a truck that had written on the side "shmutz internet service and tzaros inc."-the crash was deafening, and the ensuing fireball was till shamayim. At least it went for a good cause.

Now i have no idea where i am, w/o a truck, and my head is spinning, i feel so much bilbul. I am dizzy and not walking straight. I feel weak, lye down under a tree, and just blink and rest, waiting for nothing until i feel enough koach to even get up and see where i am.
There are misquitos biting me all over and i havent the koach to swat them away. I fall into a deep sleep.......

Moiradige!

We're all here on the side of the road, with the AAA.

Achdus, Ahavas Chaveirim and Arvus.

If you need a new truck, we'll try to make a collection.

If you need a tow, we'll tie you to our eighteen wheelers.

If the air has run out of your tires -we'll jack you up, and spin your wheels.

Anything to help you keep on truckin'!

Just talk -we'll listen.

KOT!
