I saw the post... Women tend to desire the emotional lust, while men are more effected by what they see. That's just in general. That's why women tend more to SLAA while men end more to SA groups. But a man who is missing a lot of the emotional part of relationships due to a difficult upbringing, may also tend more to the SLAA... Many of the groups are mixed. It's not black and white for anyone.

As far as Yeshiva goes, why not join a Yeshiva that goes easier on the learning and spends time on hiking, touring and activities as well... It's not all or nothing. EVER. Remember that.

I know, I can't access gmail. What's going on??? I have an important e-mail there from Mr. B that I saw only the title, but it won't let me open it.

What Mr. B? You say "never mind"? Oh, ok.

you are right. people can go through their routine, smile, and laugh, and then go home and watch ten hours of p***. those people were acting normal because they didn't want anyone to suspect them. if you act normal because you want to be normal, because you want to get to the point where you are normal, well, that's entirely different. and that CAN lead to a change in your thought process. and when i say normal, i really just mean lust-free. sorry.

...stories....movies...i personally struggle with both.
I am the same. When I act out, it's stories/books/movies/voices, and then comes lots of other stuff. (It helps me a ton to detail all the "other stuff" but that's not appropriate for this venue. I generally reserve that davka for face 2 face and at meetings...)

I guess you agreed with what I posted above, then. You are not offerring any solution, though, just stating the problem. I was very lucky: my addiction forced me directly to the soultion (after 15 years!) . Hey nice typo: soulution!

I will be leaving yeshiva for a bit
Hatzlocha Rabba in whatever you do. Hashem is with you. Maybe it's what you need but it seems you are taking action (chesed) rather than sticking with cerebralism (as many of us end up unfortunately doing in yeshiva), as Guard suggested, after all. But there is no geographic solution, you know...
