Thanks for the hard work.

Right now I suggest three kinds of groups and one new commitee

1. small groups of frequent potsers

2. Small groups of weekend posters

3.  Small groups of bein hazemanim posters

4. A welcoming committee, who makes sure all new faces get welcomed and directed properly.

And we need someone to be in charge of all this.

I think the person in charge should have at least 650 posts under his belt.

Start posting away. Be the volunteer welcome committee.

Wait.

You mean you volunteered right.

That was the whole idea.

Your last post wasn't clear so I want to make sure.

Hey Reb Holy Yid
I'm all about the idea of setting up a "welcome committee" this is a brilliant idea, besides of taking off of reb guard's back some work, we can maybe try to make the newcomers a little more comfortable if we addicts are the ones to welcome them & not the holy admin & they can feel the brotherhood of this forum, another thing would be gr8, that when this welcome committee is set up, besides of the standard message (what guard used to do )they will respond to every newbie, maybe if the work load is divided between a few devoted volunteers, they can design a more specific respond to each person, and direct them to the right threads, & make sure they are set up the best possible,
Just a thought,

PS if this idea is in fact gana be a reality, & there is a need for a volunteer I can try to be one for a trial period & see if I suit that hat

I also felt very ignored after the initial welcoming period...

After a while I got in touch with some members with personal messages and I have my 'guys' who I know I can turn to etc. You can try it and see how it goes...

Also I believe that people aren't ignoring, it's that it's impossible to keep up with every thread (I know I can't...)...

Another idea is to start a new thread every once in a while...

So why do you have a cigarette on your profile?
