Dear friends,
I missed all of you.
I'm out of town and on a hotel computer and I have not spoken to Guard yet about what this tzaddik said to him after i was instructed to leave. But I will take R Guard's word that the decision was reversed and I will post something I saw in "In Forest Fields" by Rabbi Arush
Knowing that everything comes Hashem, one can find encouragement and avoid falling into darkness and despair.Despair ruins hope,as if there is no way out of his problem and nothing to do,as if the stern judgement is irreversible.
There is no such thing as "nothing to do" about a problem or predicament.
It only seems that way to a man's limited vision, for in truth one does not know where salvation will come from.
Indeed one should not worry about where the solution will come from
Rather,he should thank Hashem for the problem itself, for surely it is for his ultimate benefit, whether to arouse him to a deep repentance or to cleanse him or for mant other reasons, all to help the person become what he or she is supposed to.
Hashem can take the worst situation and turn it around completely around for the good
So none of us here should let the idea that we have these dark challenges within ourselves cause us to fall into despair
It is exactly the opposite.
whem we 'fight' or as we are told,to be brave enough to 'let go',and leave everything in Hashem's Hands,we will see over time that the greatest blessings in life come from those things that we thought were the worst things that happened to us.
And that very dark and poweful desire for unhealthy things is the very fuel and very source of the greatness that is within you, that you WILL SEE VERY CLEARLY EVEN IN THIS WORLD,once you finally allow Hashem to pull you out, and bring you in,because it is then that you will be who you truely are.
After recovery, make sure not to think that you wasted a big chunk of your life.
No matter how long it took to pull out of this (AND YOU WILL PULL OUT,YOU ABSOLUTELY WILL)
Nothing in your life is wasted
And in retrospect, even those dark times,or especially those dark times will have great and deep meaning.
