Klall Yisroel on Yom Kippur

White as snow
Pure bride
That’s what she is
Beneath the surface

Gmar Chasimah Tovah dear friends!!!

(Poem & dvar torah for succos)

Help me God
Go through life
With a smile
Both outer & inner smile
Shining love
Towards my Creator
& my fellow man
A smile towards
My own soul
Lifting its spirits
So that it can be nurtured
& grow
Into the tree of abundant blessing
That God
Instilled within

Please help me smile
A genuine radiant
Smile
Deep within
Dispelling all fears & anxieties
Calming the turbulence
With rays of brilliant hope
Towards the revelation of joy
That the Kind Creator
Gifted to us

As there are many life lessons in these pages which are within these posts-I will repost them currently here -sometimes with notes & additional insights

from page 1

Lessons

Appreciating your Home-Modesty-Peace of mind that comes with being happy with one's life-removal of jealousy.

For singles-yearn & pray for such a tent. without being judgemental -break valuate what improvements you can make upon building your own home-take the positives from your parent's home-remove the negative-Ask God to help you marry, build a home, break the negative cycles that passed from generation to generation & bring light to your future children & generations

For married men-(married women can take many of these concepts as well)-safeguard & cherish your tent-your wife who God has given to you. Tent means the beauty of your home when you have love & respect for your wife. The deeper private Tent is your bedroom-cherish & safeguard it-no other human being is with you there-not even in thought-other than your wife & that's when the shechinah abides in your tent. True Mitzvah of Onah is indeed this giving within the privacy of your tent-with this framework, your marriage both in the intimate realm & in the home can become a very joyous state despite the pressures that come with life.

Ma Tovu Oholecha Yaakov.Bilaam was forced to recognize the Ohel of Yaakov-the tznius-the kedusha-he couldn't take it.So he gave the advice relating the bnos moav that brought great tragedy to the Jewish People

That Bilaam is dead. But he is still around.Alive & kicking!!-in the form of pornography with all the desire for such matters that are within us.Bilaam has invaded and the loss is great.

But realize that the reason why the struggle is so strong is because he recognizes the true beauty of Ohel Yaakov-and because he hates us he want it destroyed.

Why are the tents of Yaakov beautiful?Because within the walls of the tent there is peace. There is love between husband and wife. The husband happy with his wife. The wife being happy with her husband. The door of the tent is open.Ahavas Yisroel.Hachnosas Orchim.Anyone who needs anything can come in.But the doors are modest.they do not look onto each others tent.

I am happy with my tent.I am happy that you have a beautiful tent too.I'm not jealous of you.I'm happy for you.But your tent is closed. It's for you.Your husband or wife is yours only. And my tent is what I am happy with.If I don't see the beauty of my tent-I ask Hashem to help me see it.see what I already have.reveal to me the beauty of the soul of my wife or husband that you gave to me and give to me every day.

Please don't let the bills, the stress of daily life, the nisyonos distract me from seeing my beautiful tent. The tent that has loving open doors to all but closed to the world when I express my love and hakoras hatov to greatest gift that is right here within.

Lessons

for singles-pray to God for a beautiful tent-take the good points in your parent's marriage (& positive point of what you notice in married couples as a guest in their home ect..)-never get discouraged -even if your parents do not have sholom bayis-even if they had a bitter divorce-you need not follow any negative pattern-the choice is in your hands-pray to a beautiful tent-aspire for it-& work on your character while you are single as a preparation for a joyful married life-know that watching your eyes now-while single-will automatically enhance the relationship with your wife-even if you didnt meet her yet!!! the faithful of your eyes strengthens the bond between your soul & the soul that is destined for you

for married men (& married women can apply these concepts as well)-appreciate the beautiful tent that if yours as a gift from God-this wonderful gift -don't be blind to it-often its human nature to look for treasures that they think are on another continent when in reality the treasure is right there -in your tent. every marriage has its challenges-every person has their imperfections-but by focusing on the lighte, the beauty , the warmth, the good points, you will see the wellsprings of joy & happiness come forth from the gift of giving & connecting to each other as you both connect to God

for all-when faced with a test on the street-& you close your outer eye-that is a time when prayers are answered-in a sense more than neilah -because you feel the pain of fighting your nature which God knows is not easy-ask then for wealth-for health-for sholom bayis-for the wisdom of learning to be happy with your own tent-what I sometimes do-is directly ask Hashem to open my inner eye as I close my outer eye saying the possuk-"Gal Eyniay V-obita Nifloas MiTorasecha" (Tehillim 119-letter Gimmel)-please open my eyes (inner eye of the soul) so that I may see the wonders of your Torah"

Dear brothers & sisters

My heart was with you ,this past Shabbos, when I was thinking about what I heard in the name of the Baal Shem Tov on what Bilaam said "Neum Hagaver Shesum H'ayin"

What is "Shesum H'ayin"?

Onkelos says that it means that the eye saw very well.Rashi says that Bilaam was blind in that one eye.

How could Onkelos and Rashi say the opposite of each other on the same word?

The answer ,says the Baal Shem Tov, is that both are right, both are true and at the same time.

A tzaddik sees things with Ruach Hakodesh, with divine inspiration. In earlier years there was prophecy. How did the eye see this?Because he closed the physical eye from seeing things he shouldn't be seeing.By closing the outer eyes from evil, the inward spiritual eye looks deep in,is wide open, and sees things, beautiful treasures, secrets of the Torah, that no one else can see

So the question arises:How could Bilaam who saw all the filth of the world, how could he see prophecy. How could be perceive the beauty of Ohel Yaakov? The answer is that Hashem blinded one of Biliaam's eyes from birth. That eye never saw the filth, that eye never saw evil, that eye could never be contaminated. It is from that blind eye that he saw the beauty of Ohel Yaakov. So both Onkelos and Rashi are right.Bilaam saw very well spiritually -with the eye that was blind physically

My beloved brothers and sisters. When we close our eyes from the filth around us,from things we are not allowed to see,our inward eye opens up.We see beautiful secrets from the depths of our neshama.Even if in the past we damaged our eyes, the damage is not irreversable. It doesn't need to go blind chas v'shalom. The Tshuva cleans the eye from the past and closing it in the present will open our spiritual eye to see the wonders of Hashem and the greatness of our neshomoh.

It's a little scary and lonely because in the beginning,as we close our eyes from the bad of the world, our inward eye has not yet opened. It may take some time to see and develop.During that time one may feel alone and in great pain, missing this harmful(but addictive) stimulant from outside ,without yet feeling the light and warmth from within.

Don't despair during this time.

That is when you need to feel all your brothers and sisters here holding your hand-giving you a hug, giving you chizzuk.Hashem is holding your hand.Soon it will become easier,it will become less painful, soon it will be wonderful. But you just need to stick with it.Dont give in to you outer eye.Use it for good things only.Have faith in yourself-You can do it!!!

And then sometimes suddenly - but most of the time gradually -you will feel the light and warmth of your neshomah, the love that will spread outward to your spouse, your neighbor, your friend.Your eyes and heart will be healed and it will heal others as well

Lessons

for singles - preserve the yud (boys) & hei (girls) within you. see the truth in your own inner essence so that when you marry , you can connect with the essence of your spouse & connect the yud & hei so that the Shechina can dwell within you

for married men/women-despite all the challenges & flaws -we can tap into the beauty of the yud & hei within ourselves & our spouses.

This will not only help your marriage (or future marriage for singles) but will also on a cosmic level connect Klall Yisroel to Hashem . When we look at the hei within our spouses (or yud) , Hashem as well looks at His mate (so to speak) & He will shower kindness & love towards His people

The very special piece of Kli Yakar(Pinchas 26-2) shines out to us.Every family in Klall Yisroel has the Hei in the front and the Yud in the back. The Shechina dwells within us.He wants to be part of the family, not as an outsider, and certainly not as the "Black Sheep" of the family that is kicked out on the street.Sometimes Hashem feels like the kid nobody wants. The Hei and Yud disappears. The family crumbles.

The woman has the Hei of the shechina within her.The man has the Yud.Look in the Kli Yakar to see why the Hei is listed first(see as an example the family of "Ha-Cha-No-Chi").We can add that true the woman is a tznua, and is usually therefore in the background. But in truth the Hei is first. She is the true leader of the Jewish Family-behind the scenes. To emphasize this, the Hei is listed first.

Every woman has the Hei within her. This is true even when one is single, widowed or divorced.Every man has the Yud within him.One must keep the Hei and Yud safe within themselves, not to allow it to leave or hide deep inside themselves.

When a husband loves his wife,(for real, her true essence) he loves the shechina within her,the Hei,that his Yud is seeking to unite with. The same is true with the woman who loves her husband(for real, his true essence),reaching out to the Yud and bringing him home, bringing him peace and comfort, letting the shechina come in and shine on them both, healing them from deep wounds that life may have brought upon them in the past.

The wife may gain a few pounds, may be stressed,or at times insensitive, but the Hei is pure and intact as the day she walked down the chuppah many years ago.The man may be worn down(also maybe a little more than a few extra pounds),the knees hurt, the wrinkles are starting to show, and yes, your wife did spot some grey hairs(or baldness-depending on your mazal !!!),but the Yud is in him.And she loves his Yud,his unique personality Hashem gave him,he may make mistakes, but the Yud will always be with his Hei-forever and ever.

The stumblings and failings, the challenges we are facing causes the Yud and Hei,the shechina,to go into hiding. But it is retreivable. When the wife sees her husband trying so hard to stay clean and ehrlich(She may not say anything but she notices),she is instinctively drawn to the Yud within him,and her love for him will return and grow strong. He,in turn, will see his Hei,shining and beautiful-his true zivvug.

Children won't know this intellectually, but they are calmer and happier when they see thier parents, the Yud and the Hei,as one. This is the best chinuch you can give them. This is the greatest gift you can give them. There is more calmness in them when the Yud and the Hei are together and one,it calms them because the shechina has a soothing effect on us.

There is the Yud in every man. There is the Hei in every woman.Keep it safe.Keep it clean. My dear brother's and sisters we must know that the complex and powerful storm within us will never ever erase the Yud and the Hei within us.The fact that we are on this website proves that we have seen glimpses of it's greatness. We must tap into the shechina that is within us and loves us.If we see it in each other, we will be able to see it within ourselves.

Gut Voch my friends!!!

several poems & Dvar Torah attached

11

Thank you God
For the gift of words
Within me

Please help me
Use words wisely

2

Showers
A pleasure not just physical
But emotional/mental
Soul sparkling too
Symbolizing
Renewal
Rebirth
A clean start
With a fresh perspective
On life
Removal of old sediments
As hope sprouts
Refreshing & invigorating
Taking on life
With enthusiasm

3

Red delicious plums
What wonderful gifts
Beneath those beautiful wrappers
& the pit/seed
Though less attractive
Is the source of beauty & taste

Just as
A seed or pit
The source of beauty
May not always externally
Appear to be so
So too pierce through
Beneath the surface
& see within the potential
To tap into
The rich beauty
Not seen
By the physical eye

4

Thank you God
I am humbled
By Your abundant kindness
Bestowed
Upon me

Thank you God
For giving me a job

May your blessing shine
There & everywhere
That you send me
So that I may thrive
In your goodness
Spreading warmth & light
To all those
Around me

5

Thank you God
For your beautiful world
Enjoying the walk
To the shul in Swan lake
Passing through Your beautiful roads
Trees, lakes, & grass
Listening to Torah
Talking to you
What a beautiful gift
From Above

8

Joy
Is not just in the mind
But in the heart
Brings healing & blessing
Physically & spiritually
To a person
Joy alone
& a cheerful disposition
Dispels anxiety
& brings goodwill
A beautiful bountiful flow
From Above

Dear Yechida thanks for your posts . i dont know if it is only me ( i guess yes ) , buti can not read the hebrew attachment , the torah vorts. the letters are very small and not clear ( to me ). I wonder if there was way to type them or some other idea . i tried a couple of times using the zoom but it didnt help . Anyways thank you again for your beautiful words .
By the way i printed out (a long time ago ) your letter for the wife of a GYE's husband . I dont dare yet to show it to her , she knows i read things from gye but i didnt tell her the exact reason why i am a gye husband . things are better in my home so probably she thinks "whatever works for him , as long as it works " .
Anyways just wanted to let you know .KUTGW

very much appreciate your kind words

I hope one day to be able to type all this out so that it can be much clearer for everyone.

because I lack the time & I don't want to lose the concepts that I already researched-I resort to writing until the time when I will be able to type everything out

im thinking of writing 2 per week-one Hebrew-one English. writing for me is still 10 times faster than typing & I don't always have a computer available

one day beezras Hashem...

Yechidah , this time i took time and effort to decipher (sorry ) the small lettered manuscript . B"H i did it . It was unbelievable ! First the eitza to daven for everything even when you are right in front of the well , still daven for the water to come out of it . I needed that so much . The other one was truly Smashing ! What do you mean she is the opposite of you ?? thats exactly what you need , just the opposite , YOUR opposite . that is your Hashlama . there is no other way ! ישר כח גדול !
