Sorry I didn't read every post on this thread (I skimmed through most). So, I don't know if anyone already wrote this, but if you have a drop-dead gorgeous wife, don't you think there's more of a chance she'll attract the looks of other men more than if you had a more "plain" wife?
Honestly, do you want to go in public knowing that other men are leering at your wife?
Think of this next time you "wish" your wife looked like a p**n star.
Momo, my dear friend!
While I agree with you that a woman who dresses provocatively is doing a huge disservice to the world, herself, her husband, and the walrus, BUT that doesn't mean that one should not "wish" for a wife that he is attracted to on a very physical level, or be happy to be married to one. There is a huge world of difference between a "pretty and skinny wife" which is the topic of this forum and a p**n star.
If a man is married to someone he finds very attractive, and she dresses in a tzniyus way and acts in a 100% tzniyus manner, I think that is totally fine and good!
As far as men leering at your wife despite her being a total tzanua... there are perverts out there who will leer at anything in a skirt, be it chai, tzomeach, or domeim... so you can't dictate your life or wife by the lowest common denominator of a guy who five minutes after leering at your wife might be leering at a table leg that looks like a human leg....
לא עליך המלאכה לגמור - You can't be responsible for every perv out there (and yes, unfortunately I'm that perv sometime... I'm not trying to be demeaning to anyone, although leer is a harsh word, I don't know if actually leer....)
ולא אתה בן חורין לבטל ממנה - But you do have a responsibility to make sure that the person you marry is not the type of person who will act or dress in an even slightly seductive manner
But that's just my opinion....
