The written word has the issue of missing the nuances of speech. Which is why emojies were created.

I never read self help before I came into recovery i would personally put the big book and the twelve and twelve onto a higher pedestal than 'self help' they are masterpieces- an absolute genius mapping of the human psyche as for skipping anything in them I have no comment (hope that says it clearly enough with my silence) As for the atheist stuff... no comment
