This website is so wonderful that people feel they don't need it.

Actually, I suspect many people are not willing to make any credit card commitment to an anonymous entity as wonderful as that entity appears to be.

I love R' Guard, but I think he does not full appreciate how detremental his anonymity is to the overall success of this site (it's still great, but not as great as it could be).
I am not big enough to not do something I WANT to do because I know it is wrong, but I've been around long enough not to want to do many things, even though they are really enticing at the first glance.

Guards real name is Farley (Yoel) Glicksburg, III. He goes by 'Mr Glicksburg' at work, by 'Farl' on the firing range, and by "Guard' on the forum...but his close friends (and beloved wife) call him 'Yoilish'. But on a bad day, his wife calls him late for dinner...

I am recently graduated looking for work. I'm thinking about doing the TaPHSiC method with a $10 - $20 knas, but $100 is often more than I have in my bank account. If I make a commitment for that I may not be able to pay my kids tuition, insurance or other necessities. As I'm writing this I realize this sounds like a rationalization - the point is not to slip - but the nature of addiction is that I've made so many commitments that I didn't end up keeping I'm just don't feel I can commit to losing the little money I have for my family.
