i just want to share what happened to me about 10 min ago. i had to have access to a certain site that i know has inappropriate things on it (its considered a clean site but i know its not) i have been really clean for a long time (month in half) haven't looked at anything including on the street! but i was tempted to just take a peep and i started once and stopped bec i have a neder, but was still tempted and started to take a peep but as soon as it came up i looked away... the lust was boiling... so i read a thing i made up that i would read if i feel like falling... it helped but still i wanted to look..... i davened please hashem remove the lust!!!!.....so i got up walked away from the computer and went to the kitchen, there was a box there that i wanted to pick up and i scraped my hand on it and got a big cut that kills even now as i type... now i don't want to look anymore the pain knocked it out! The first thing i said was THANK YOU HASHEM! YOU SAVED ME YOU SAW I TRIED SO HARD THE PAST MONTH AND A HALF AND YOU WANTED TO BAIL ME OUT!

i will try to avoid the way which i came to the fall, but the lesson is that head on i can't do it i would have been a dead man, with hashems help i got over it and  live to tell the tail. yes even though i took a peek and saw what i shouldn't have its still a victory! i had prepared what to do in case i come to that situation and it worked i read my note it talked sense to me i davened and the rest i relied on hashem.

I suggest you block the site.

If you can't, make your neder to include that site. Say something like this:

Shavuah for a month that if I look at the __________ website without an adult in the room with me, and I didn't first go for a ten minute walk, I will  donate $300 to GYE. If I look at it without an adult in the room within an hour of taking a 10 minute walk, I will only have to donate $30 to GYE.

More money for GYE means more advertising, more development, and many more Yidden saved.

I just thought it made sense that if a person has a fall, their knas should go to helping other Yidden in the same matzav. This way, midah kineged midah, the zechus will give you siyata dishmaya to do better next time!

So yes, it is "shameless". I feel no shame in encouraging everyone to donate to GYE. (But if you want, just substitute "fasting" or anything else for the "knas".)
