I'm concerned about the idea of giving up religion entirely.  dont throw the baby out with the bath water.  even if you fail that doesnt mean you shouldnt try your best in other realms of life.  adn by doing so maybe it will help with this one.  I've actually noticed after I fall I feel an urge to give up other things but I know its the yetzer trying to make me feel better about falling adn to do it again.  if you give up the goal the means become much easier.  just write it off sort of. not good. you wont grow at all like that.
