Boruch Hashem I am doing well today. Tomorrow will be three days clean which is quite a milestone for me. As I mentioned before I really am trying to just slow everything down and simplify things.

I saw a fascinating presentation at work today. We had a guy come and present to us about motivation and he showed a film of a tightrope walker who was some great skilled expert and had done thousands of walks. Just before he was about to do a walk, someone whispers to him "Good luck - don't fall". Despite doing the walk a thousand times before, he fell - all because the very mention of the word 'fall' meant that the word was in his head and he acted on it. It really made me think about how often that exact same thing has happened to me (well, not on a tightrope, but you know what I mean!) Also of course it put me in mind of Rebbe Nachman's saying about the narrow bridge - I guess it's the same message.

Anyway, off to learn a bit and then bed for (be"H) a guilt-free sleep!
