Hang in there! The first couple of weeks are rough, the withdrawal pains are actually physical like getting off a drug. But it will get easier with time.

Just remember that it's GOOD pain, healing pain, cleansing you and making you stronger. Not at all like the BAD pain of guilt and depression that comes from falling.

I went through it not long ago, essentially quitting "cold turkey" what had been 30 years of really bad fantasies, P***, and acting out. Lately I feel so much more normal that I sometimes miss the intensity and emotion of those first few weeks.

The particular "flavor" of our addiction is not what counts, it's recognizing it for what it is and learning how to fight it.

I just read your thread, you've come a long way already, and it gets easier with time, as the images fade away if they are ignored. I second what 90 wrote, the ones where I created an (imaginary) emotional connection in my head are the hardest to get rid of. There are certain people I see regularly that I had built an entire fantasy relationship with, every time I see them now it all tries to come back.

Don't worry about the wet dreams, it's a) your body involuntarily reacting to stopping to act out, and b) your YH trying to use it to get you depressed and discouraged.

give it more time, this is all normal wulie quitting and changing are lives. Just keep on fighting the YH with Gevura. You will notice dramatic changes in the long run. But, in the begining its VERY difficult, you can become depressed, and maybe not even feel good that you are clean. This is all normal. Keep on posting, you will soon be VERY happy.

BH i was able to control my self , its hard to start thinking when your feeling the urge the yetzer hara blanks out everything
i was able to keep in mind 3 words, KEEP ON TRUCKING !
i left the city running to the train station, i then opened up my blackberry and the saw the daily chizuk email in my inbox
i read the story from "onelife" - Hashem paid me in cash , i got a tremendous boost of energy and inspiration
im really looking forward to reach the 100 day Mark
This morning on the train i started to read the Handbook for the 2nd time, much more exciting.

Thanks for the immediate response, the forums are excellent i still feel a little alone though , i think i express myself best talking to someone. i'm a little embarrassed though
