....aaand here's where I admit that I don't actually own any comic books.......but that doesn't make the above untrue!

And of course to bring us back to the merry subject of rapists.... I once a seventeen your old child molestor open up to me. I never in my life could have imagined that I could have any rachmanis on a child molester, until I spoke to this kid. He himself had been repeatedly abused as a kid, and couldn't fathom why he was being powerfully drawn to touching other kids. He was so depressed and ashamed of himself that he attempted suicide twice... He was living in intense pain 24/7. Hearing his story filled me with such sadness because he wasn't a bad person, he was just doing very very bad things...

It is probably hard for you to understand this, but if you were in my office that day, when this kid came in... I think anyone here would have had rachmanus on him. Does that mean that I think he should be within a mile radius of any kids... no.

Do I still have rachmanus on him.... yes.

And this is from someone who has seen many kids whose lives have been broken by chesters, and even has a brother who was molested by someone... so it's not like I don't recognize the severity or sickness behind those actions....


We never know what is behind someone else's actions... We never know where he is coming from... and could very well be the best place for this guy is a prison where he will be prevented from doing the things he hates himself for... but we can't decide those things
