So Rage falls and you also set back to zero?
Good luck to the both of you.

And what's this all about?
"totally agree about that roofie thing before...
i've felt like that.
no fun"

If someone slipped you a roofie I'll kill him. I actually know a girl who was slipped one at a party and she was raped. If someone tried that to you or anyone I know they'd be dead men walkin if I knew who they were.

I'm serious.

VERY often, I'm thinking WHILE I'M CLICKING AWAY, if I only had a button to stop myself from what I am about to do - I'd click it in a second!! And it's true, I would.
But my mind won't let me stop. While I'm doing it I already hate myself. I don't have to wait till after.

Thanks for clarifying. Offer still stands by the way, and I can relate. When I used to act out, I would check to see how much time was left on whatever I was watching or how many more I had lined up to see so that I could guess when I could finally go to sleep. It was like I had to go through it and I couldn't sleep until I did, even though I really wanted to and I didn't want to be acting out. I had no control. I was being tortured by my own lust for "pleasure".

BTW, I think she was 14 when it happened. The effects have been permanent. People who do that need to be taken out to the middle of nowhere, shot, and left to die slowly.

My heart definitely agrees with you, BW, but I have painfully learned:

...some of those "horrible folks" may be in recovery, Bruce.
People face their past,
they face the truth about themselves now,
they face what they can do,
and then they go on.

Better let Hashem do the shooting....

I disagree. A porn addict or drug addict can be given a second chance if he's in recovery. Rapists need to be shot. I don't care when it happened or how much they've "recovered". The damage is done. Would you say that a guy like Ted Bundy or Charles Manson should be given a "second chance", even if it's been 20 years since his last murder and he's "in recovery"?

Society needs to do what society needs to do.
But I imagine that I'd sponsor anyone who really wants to recover, even while they are on death row, and should be. Even if I'd be a witness for the execution.
We all need to do the best we can, no matter what.

There's apparently no escape - and no giving up, either.

But I hear you.
