Dearest Chevrah,
I'm checking in to let  all my dearest friends know that i haven't fallen off the face of the world nor off the proverbial "wagon".  Recently i took what  for me  is a draconian step and got rid of the browser on my BlackBerry, so the only place i now have any internet access is at my work computer.


why did i remove the browser?  good question! I found that I was becoming addicted to the blackberry in a terrible way -fox news vin new ywn these terrible terrible time wasters -  to the point that it was interfering with my relationships with my wife and children. [ as the holy rebbe REb Bards  once so apty put it "she married you not the  blackberry"] I also realized that I'm  actually embarrassed to surf in front of the kids, which gave me pause to stop and think, is this the example i want to set for them. a father a blackberry junkie? so i called up jnet and asked them to block it entirely.

I miss it terribly  

but most of all i miss you all on  GYE

Power to you Noorah, I too find myself totally addicted to my Blackberry, and even waste hours playing Texas Hold Em (although my hours waster per week has come down significantly since the first month I had the BB when it was really insane...) Us addictive personalities can get addicted to almost anything... Big move taking off your browser, big move....

First of all, kudos for your screen name, that whole gemara there gives lots of hope for the little guy who struggles, it's good to see that some of the greatest amoraim struggled too!

I actually want to know how I can use GYE on my blackberry? is it only through the browser? Cuz the browser is mad slow?

haven't posted in a while, been crazy busy at work and ......i no longer have a browser on my bb so my posting and visiting GYE slowed down dramatically.

Today is 9 months and 19 days since i joined the wall of honor and yesterday was a tremendous struggle

i went thru something similar before the last crash and am worried that G-d forbid i shouldn't end up there again. I feel i will never be able to get up again should i fall.

in a nutshell, Im  coming off a project that drained me both physically and emotionally and am in a danger zone........... totally depleted
