NB,

As much respect I had for you till now, I now have even more respect for you after reading your story.

It's very hard to come down from that ladder you were on before you joined the GYE family and yet you were Nichnah yourself & came down so that you can rise again on the ladder the is "Roishoi Magiah Hashomaimo".

You were a Talmed Chochom before and you still are, only now Hashem is close to you & you can feel his presence.

You were a B'Non Shel Kedoishim & till are, only now you are not just another "0" on the chain of Yichus, now your a number that actually makes all the "0" on the chain a big number!

so keep on climbing the ladder for the rest of your life, but please have some pitty on all of us and make sure you were a thick strong Gartil that has many ropes attached to it so that you can pull us all up with you.

thank you Noorah so much for this quote from the Big Book. I always had trouble making the difference between on the one side everything is up to HaShem (through which we could fall into fatalism), on the other side we have to make hishtadlus and not be fools (which could lead to "bekochi..."); but the stage-mashal makes it much more clear! Thanks!

                                                  !!!!!!!!מזל טוב

Noorah כשמו כן הוא, you really are fire! What a special day to celebrate 90 days on! -the yahrzeit of the Ohr Hachaim Hakadosh. He's not called Kodosh for nothing!

lechayim, biz 120 -that's years not days!

Your story touched my heart in a special way. Some of the main components of your story are exactly the same as mine. (Ever since I wrote about the Sears catalog 10 months ago, I never heard about a similar experience from someone else.) If you want to see my story, here's the link:  rehab-my-site.com/guardureyes/forum/index.php?topic=64.0 (I wrote it in installments.)

Keep firing your chizuk, non-stop!

Holy Battle "never" worn
Thank you so much for you warm wishes and kindest words of chizuk!
The Ohr haChaim Hakodesh may be responsible for my name "Noorah" where he stresses in parshas achrie mos (I think;)) "go out and learn from Rav Amram Rabon she'll chasidim" that ohr hachaim has given me tremendous encouragement and hope - I think that the holy Guard links to it on the site!
With fiery love and tremendous respect for your recent "magnum opus" which I hope to study again with more kovod rosh then just a surface reading.

With as much humility as I can muster I thank u hashem for giving me the gift sobriety. Today is day 91 on my journey!
Yesterday I posted a small "snapshot" of my story -thank you all for your positive feedback and encouragement- and feel compel to clarify something that I wrote that may give an untrue depiction to who I think I am -
I wrote some may consider me a Talmud Chacham" let me state unequivocally that I do not consider myself one for I know how little torah I actually learn!!the sole  reason I brought that in is for the cautionary value of that aspect of "my-story" meaning that even if a person may be considered a Torah scholar they are not immune from the wiles of the YH. This is also why I'm so touched by the story of Rav Amram chasida, that teaches us that even when a man is referred to as the "Chief Rabbi" of the pious ones still is not guaranteed immunity from th YH.
Master of the World I pray lest I never let down my "Guard"
For I may be asleep to "him" but "he" sure as day is awake to little ole me

Humbly yours

I notice another interesting thing, as time goes on I stopped referring to the YH as the "menuval" the despicable one. I wonder if this indicates a lowering of my guard against his ruthlessness or shall I say is deviousness or maybe its as time goes on the some of the GUE attitude is sinking in to my subconscious! I hope;).
The attitude of getting closer to Hashem as opposed to running away from the baal duver, the attitude of saying you Hashem fight the YH for me, for I cannot fight him "rachmana nigaar bei bsoton"

I pray that its the latter!!
May we never let down our "Guard".

Noorah.

Mazel Tov.Your'e a very special Yid.You were very special Yid even prior to overcoming these tests. The fact that that YH was so busy trying to pull you down is as sign of your greatness.Looking back you will see that this is the path you were destined to take.I was also upset that my parents had things in the house that they shouldn't have had that caused me alot of grief. But they did the best they could and looking back that was part of my avodah. The twisted, dark and windy path we took is the one He wanted us to take.He shined the candle and helped us get out to a wider safer road..May you be blessed and continue on with Simcha!!!
