There is no blame. Man was create w/ challenges and to put in his effort and turn to Hashem for help.sometomes that means turning 2 others as well. there is a famous story (related by the Yetev Panim) of how the Yismach Moshe became mekurav to chasidus. He decided to travel to the Choizeh of Lublin. on the way he thought to himself about what Chazal say Haba letaher mesayen oso. Why does it say 'mesayen', in plural, it should have said mesaya, that the RBSO helps.
When he arrived at the Choizeh, the Choizeh said to him (even before the Yismach Moshe could ask), haba letaher mesayen lo, meaning the RBSO helps, and tzadikim help as well, hence the plural.
