I HAVE HASHEM!! 28 Jul 2024 21:01 #417946

Hey All,

It's been 10 days... 10 amazing days of cleanliness, of good thoughts or positivity. In fact, I'm already thinking clearly and I can see positive things happening. It's so funny, because my eyes are more open to the miracles of life.

Well I was doing absolutely fine and then a whatsapp group was infiltrated with someone posting disgusting indecent pictures of a woman. The yetzer hara started to kick in, the voices in my head, the temptation... BUT I won't give in, I can't give in because HASHEM is a trillion times stronger than my yetzer hara, than any of our yetzer hara's.

So as I continue to be shmiras habit, and clean (I'm not counting those images as fails, but rather a test from Hashem). I will make it to 90 days, I know I will. We all will, together we can accomplish greatness!

Here's to another 10 days

Hatzlacha everyone, have an amazing day/evening wherever you are.

I want to keep this thread going, for myself, but if it helps one person then I'm happy.

Today was a great day, I managed to wake up and get out of bed at 5:30am and go to my local chabura to learn Gemara with a shuir.

Even though that's a major accomplishment for me, I've been so tired and my yetzer Hara is really strong today, stronger than yesterday. You know the saying "Your yezter Hara attacks you when it knows your accomplishing greatness"

Thank you Hashem for these challenges and difficulties. I won't give in, I can't give in, no matter what the little voices in my head keep telling me.

The things I do now, will affect my future, and I want a bright future with Hashem by my side and a beautiful loving family.

I guess not every day is all sun and flowers, but that's ok, because those days where the struggle is intense, comes the real reward for overcoming them.

11 days cleans....BH

Hatzlacha to you all and please, please, please believe in yourselves, because Hashem believes in you sooooo much!

So today is a real struggle, I've failed, no two ways about it but still such an improvement from 12 days ago...

The thing is, I really don't want to reset my checkin (it makes me feel bad and impure and I know it wasnt' major, but I can lie to others, but can't lie to myself)...I know why I failed, because I'm completely and utterly exhausted. I'm so tired and the yetzer hara got to me for a few minutes.

What do you think? Should I reset at 0 or carry on from current day?

Success to you all!! You got this!

Shalom Brother,
I love your positivity and honesty!
If you are doing an official GYE count, then they have some rules. But there is no rule that you have to do their count - you can count on your thread (though I think not your account) what is truthful, works for you, and motivates you to keep going.
Hatzlacha

ps if you want to know what the official rules are, please ask
Today is yesterday's tomorrow.
The yetzarim a person has the most trouble dealing with are his most powerful God-given tools for developing his potential and achieving shleimus.
In order to love who you are, you cannot hate the experiences that shaped you.
It doesn't matter how big the number is, only that today it is going up by one.
