Admit it. You’d love to break away from wasting all the time on the internet…but you just can’t do it.
Don’t feel bad, we all have will-power challenges.
But there is power in numbers and that is what Offline Day is all about.
Why not pledge to join us on Offline Day? (Don’t worry it’s free!)
This Wednesday (December 23, 2009 from 12am until 11:59:59pm) will be our first Offline Day.
There are different levels that you can pledge; but once you make a pledge, you have to keep it or you promise to donate $100 to a charity of your choice.
You not only have nothing to lose; by joining everyone else on Offline Day you gain some of your precious time back for yourself that would normally be squandered surfing the internet/chatting/gaming etc. and you get to flex your self control muscles to boot; at least for one day.
Want an email reminder the day prior to Offline Day? Want an email of encouragement and an electronic medal of honor that you can print and pin to your General’s Ribbon Rack after Offline Day?
If so, subscribe by sending a blank email to offline-day+
subscribe@googlegroups.com If you don’t mind, please put the level that you are pledging in the subject field so we can have an idea as to how many generals (read: real soldiers) that are out there.
Please Note:
The list will automatically send you an email which tries to confirm that you really wanted to subscribe. (If you do not see the email, check your spam folder.) All you need to do is follow the instructions included in the message and then you will be subscribed.
If you experience difficulties subscribing, please reply and indicate as such so an alternative can be arranged.
