The science is the tip of the iceberg.

I think when California finally falls into the Pacific we should find some way to piggyback Nevada along with it.

WHAT THE HELL????

I thought you were joking. Nope.

ARRGHH!!!

I hate the media as is, but this is too much. Not only is Lance Armstrong a heck of an athlete, he's a good person and a true inspiration.

Unbelievable.

You know what else the media pushes?  Racism.

Race issues in this country would have died a long time ago if the media didn't perpetuate it. Everything is racial, especially now that we have a black president. There was an article yesterday that whites will no longer be the majority in this country come 2050. Now, if race wasn't an issue, absolutely nobody would care. Plus, it's FORTY freaking years off! WHO CARES?!

Ironic how the Liberals are the closet racists here. But who expects anything from the liberal media to make sense? After all, liberalism is a mental disorder....

Here's what they push: Sex/porn, race/class division, and sports. No real news. At least not in the mainstream news. That way, they can blind you to what's really going on in the world.

No, the mainstream press is not an independent press.

I had the same reaction. I was really suprised that after having his name on the front page for like 3 weeks this lowlife could be named the athlete of the year. Unbelievable. I guess anything in america is possible. take for example obama winnig the nobel peace prize. No bruce that was not a joke. Now i think he may be a great athlete but some retospection is in order. I think im gonna just give up and accept the fact that the world is just a real sick place.

No  not obama. Someone else. Someone who i have to say i was a little in awe of for all the great feats he pulled off. Someone that i lost my total respect for about 2 weeks ago. My Rebbaim would always try and get me out of sports. they would say; how can you look up to a guy that if he met you in a dark alley would probaly wanna hurt you. Sorry rabbi that argument just doesnt cut it. But i must admit that i have a hard time following someone whos such a lowlife. And this is from the guy who kept himself squeaky clean for all these years. What a shame.

So Rage, maybe it's time to stop watching this junk?

Looks like the narrow minded, ghetto-ultra Orthodox might have the best chances that their kids won't be stillborn souls at birth. In today's world, we can't even watch the news and not get covered in...

I really only agree with you there on the imprisonment and the sort of on the healthcare.
We need to change the way healthcare is done, but it must be at the same or better level of quality.

As for imprisonment...you're a lawyer, so you know how much it costs to keep people locked up. Instead of locking people away for stupid crap, I say fine them heavily. States will make more money that way. We should lock away serious offenders, not the guy who got busted in a set up by the cops that he thought was gonna be a fun time with a prostitute. I'm not advocating prostitution, but don't the cops have better things to do than to entrap people?

PS: I didn't know you were such a liberal.

Protect right to abortion? Check. Not everyone has a value system that forbids it.

I don't like the energy companies. They're like the airline companies.

I have absolutely nothing against women (I AM on this site, fool) but I don't really buy into the argument that they don't have equal rights and all that. I think a lot of it is feminatzi BS. That's not to say that you won't find places that pay women less than men or whatever. Also, I just want to point out that there's a huge difference between equal rights and equality. Feminists don't understand this. Women are NOT equal to men, and vice versa. If that were the case, then there would only be one gender. We are different, get over it. For you morons who don't know how to read, "different" does not in any way imply superiority of one over the other. Boots are not better than cross trainers. They are different. You can use both for many of the same things, but they have different specialized functions.

What do I have against gays?
Theoretically, nothing if you don't consider the religious opposition to it. But the reality is not that way. I don't care if a dude wants to sleep with another dude, as disgusting as that is. If they want to ignore women, god's gift to man (at least sort of---hey, read the Bible) then that's their problem. My problem is when they try to force their alternative lifestyle into the mainstream and flaunt it. Gay marriage is a farce. It's a non-issue and frankly our government has better things to do than worry about if it's legally OK for Jim and Joe to do unmentionable things with each other. If they want to live together and call it a "civil union" so they can get the tax benefits or whatever, then OK. But don't call it marriage. Isn't marriage primarily a religious institution anyway? By calling it marriage they are undermining religion and encroaching on religious people's values. Their rights, if you will. So who's "oppressing" who now?

Rage, the very media you hate is the media that pushes acceptance of homosexuality. You've drunk their Kool-Aid. I do not accept homosexuality and I will not be forced to because the TV says it's normal and healthy. I find it offensive when I get bombarded with these messages of acceptance. Guess what? I don't accept Christianity or Islam. Does that make me some kind of bigot? I have no problem with Christians even though I think their religion is a bit weird but I have a problem when they shove their Jesus pamphlets in my face. I have no problem with Muslims, but I have a MAJOR problem when they shove their religion in our faces with huge explosions and death and tell us to convert or die because Islam is true and we're all Infidels. Well, I'm proud of being an Infidel and I'm proud of being a heterosexual. I make no apologies for either one.

I don't know if you caught the headlines, but Houston just elected an openly lesbian mayor. In TEXAS. Now, look for the media to go bananas about this even though her sexual orientation has nothing whatsoever to do with her abilities to run a city. If she does a good job, it's gonna be because of the new wave of tolerance toward gays that is sweeping the world into a flowery utopia so that she could work  without being harassed. If she stinks at it, it will be because of the "intolerance" and the "harassment" she got because of her orientation that bothered her so much mentally that she could not do her job, and you'll see crap like "When will we be ready for a gay  mayor? A gay president? In other news, the stock markets have all crashed and we're all gonna starve to death....but nobody cares about that. What we need is a gay leader. Especially a gay leader who can fix the economy....coming up at six.

F**K the media.

i am still holding out hope that Obama will bring us the change he promised...i know its not likely to happen - i always thought he was just another crooked politician with a better sales pitch...but im still holding out hope..because we need chaneg in this country...we need a change to the left...we someone to stop the big energy companies and we need to provide freedoms to gay people and equality for women...niether the democrats nor the republics want this...we need to stop imprisoning people..we imprison more people in this country per capita than any other country in the world...we need to reform drastcially the way we provide medcal care to americans...whether that means heavily regulating the insurance companies or getting into the business ourselves i dont know but we need change....

I think (hope!!) that most of this was some sort of joke  :-\ > :D :-X ;D :
