Hello friends,

I have noticed that there is a crisis going on on the "Embarrassing things we all do and think" thread with people not respecting the criteria of "things we all do" by posting things that are embarrassing but almost unheard of...

To solve this I have created "The Awkward Moments Thread" A place where anyone can share any awkward moment or story they have ever experienced that is solely unique to you.

Feel free to post whatever you'd like, there will be no judging or analyzing any moments.

L'chayim!

Trying to be a kosher-yosher kinda guy, I try not to look at the (all female) babysitters when I drop my baby off, if I even have my glasses on.
This morning, I’m “waiting in line” to bring the kiddo into the room, but there’s a lady shmuzing and blocking the way. Trying to keep up my status, I just kinda looked awkwardly at the floor (most certainly wasn’t checking out the view). The babysitter in the room saw me and said “Oh, good morning Ploni (my baby’s name)!” The “shmuzer” turned around and, lol and behold, it’s one of the babysitters. I kinda felt judged by her look at me, like “and how long were you hanging out back there for? And why didn’t you say excuse me? Huh, big kosher-yosher guy??”

 Dunno. Shoyn.

My wife and I have this Minhag that every Rosh Chodesh we give the babysitters a little something as a gesture of gratitude for what they do for our kids. In this particular incident it involved a Danish & Iced coffee. Without thinking much I dumped them both in my kids bag and sent him off while telling the babysitter that there was some kind of treat of sorts in there. When picking up I was told that my kid didn't eat his lunch that day. What was the reason for this I asked? Do you have any clue? Well said the babysitter "I gave him the Danish that you sent with him! He had no problem taking that and was thereby not hungry by the time lunch came around! Also, she added that it seemed highly unusual that you sent him with an Iced coffee so I withheld from giving that to him...

Still not sure who felt more awkward in that moment; Me or the Babysitter. I'll let the Oilom decide...
