yeah, looks like you're about to snap! how about a repair man or something?
Ok, ok, I want to explain what I saw in the EL's old new avatar.
This is not a pitch for a change, but I think it's a nice idea so I'm gonna share.
I don't think I've posted this in the past, but I might have. If so, forgive my forgetfulness.
I also do not recall the source, I just remember hearing it from a friend,
I believe in the name of some rebbe. It was years ago that I heard this.
Anyway...
So, we talk all the time about how falls can bring one closer to HKB"H
and how BTs are on higher levels.
We all have a kesher to HKB"H. A pretty direct one as well.
Sometimes we may feel it more, sometimes less.
Let's imagine that we are connected to Him by a rope.
If I fall way from Him, be it depression, acting out,
or whatever falling might mean to each one of us at the present moment,
that rope gets disconnected or even torn
or may look like EL's old new avatar...
Now, what do we do when a rope that we need tears?
I would tie it back together.
If we can picture the rope, then we might understand
that whatever the original length of the rope,
after it is tied together again, it is a bit shorter.
Meaning the two ends have now come closer together.
Me on one side, HKB"H on the other.
This is a very helpful idea for me.
And that is why I really lik
ed EL's old new avatar.
Because, mamash! efshar letaken!
and that tikkun goes a long way!
Again, no need to make any more changes,
and thank you for helping bring this out of me.
I hope that others may find this idea helpful.
b'ahava ub'vracha,
Sturggle
P.S. Mom, no pulling on the rope!!!
