I think it's pronounced Reyka-vik. And I think that in Talmudic times, lustful people were addresses as Reyka (ריקא - you empty guy, aka MT), so they were probably known as Reyka-viks.

1. See Brachos 22a - a story of a guy who asked a woman to have illicit relations with him, and she said to him, "Reyka! do you have a 40-se'ah mikvah that you will toivel in afterwards?" And he stayed away from her.

2. See Gitting 58a - a story during the churban, the kohen gadol's daughter was captured and molested all night. In the morning her captor dressed her with seven garments and tried to sell her. A very ugly man approached and requested to check out her beauty. The captor replied, "Reyka! If you really want to buy, buy her, for there is no match to her beauty in the entire world...
