hey guys im going to israel this wed. to learn prob for the year. i know i should have planed this a little better but everything was very hectic/last second decision. bikitzur anyone have any eitzos for staying connected to the program even when im 3000 miles away (posting prob wont be an option). i would love to be able to continue calling in to the phone confrence anyone have any idea how i can do this in a way that wont cost a ton of money . thanx a lot

I'm not sure how it is today but a few years ago the cell phone plans were about 10 cents/min. so an hour long phone call costs about $6. In the big picture of things it's not that much...

tried you make a good point-when I was a bochur in eretz yisroel I was spending alot more then that acting out.

For 80 sheks a month you can get 2500 minutes to land lines and kosher phones in Israel plus 150 minutes to non kosher cellphones. You can then use Rebtel.com to get an Israeli land line number for the calls.that costs 1.5 cents a minute. I used to work for a company that sells long distance plans for very cheap, and you can call from any public phone. Its called GlobiCom you can reach them at 718-312-8522 his name is itche he's from england speaks a great english.
