In the 'Settings' on the top right corner of your Gmail page there is a tab for Buzz. You can delete your profile & block it from there.

k9 filter

you could select a specific website to block, so just copy and paste the buzz link (should be something like mail.google.com/mail.........#buzz) to the k9 block list, it should work

(you also could block the category "social networking" which will block every social network such as twitter/facebook etc.)

try unplugging your computer every time you go to buzz

you'll get so fed up with having to reconnect all the cables - you'll stop using buzz

I know what you're going through. Soical networking was a nightmare for me.

Even for other people, CNet describes it: "Google's new social-networking tool Buzz is at its root an unwanted, unasked for pest."

You can see their article here on how to turn it off:
news.cnet.com/8301-17939_109-10451703-2.html

It is a bit of work, but will be well worth the effort.

Keep well.
