Hashem is soooo patient!!!


I was slipping.

Hashem called out to me in a soft voice. I recognized His voice but chose to ignore it. (The Baal Shem Tov said that the Bas Kol that annouces daily, "Oiy lahem labrios mei'elbonah shel Torah" are those little voices in our heads nudging us to 'do the right thing')

Hashem repeated Himself. I continued ignoring.

I didn't WANT to ignore, but the lust was too sweet... I was too engrossed to stop. "Just a tiny bit more," I kept telling myself. 



Hashem's pity on me did not end with that.

My cellphone rings. I am forced to come out of my Lusting Trance to answer the phone.

It was Hashem reminding me of my commitments & resolutions.  [Hashem's voice took the form of a human discussing something else, but I heard Hashem's message from between the lines!]


....... & to help me stay 'awake', Hashem's messenger finishes the conversation with the words, "I will check back with you. Probably still today."

Gaavah or Ervah, which is worse? (Is it a question?!?!)


While doing some work for Boss I notice a link to an article about [font=comic sans ms]the underworld[/font]]. It piqued my interest. I was about to click on it. Not overtly lusting, rather 'regular' curiosity.... I was a hairsbreadth away. Dunno why, but I didn't.

Instead I clicked ctrl+C & sent of a gchat to a few of my dear GYE Friends stating that I ALMOST clicked on the following link: ____....

My motivation was = Showing off.

Gaavah kept me from ingesting that 1st drink!!!!
