Trying desperately to STOP FOR GOOD! 23 Jan 2017 10:08 #303894

Hi all

I have an addiction issue in general and have been working the ca programme for the past 26 days.
I never felt this was an issue but I seem to get 2/3 weeks clean time and then keep falling when the desire becomes "too much".
I'm hoping this programme will keep me on the narrow and straight.

Amen

Hi Striving!

The good news is that Cocaine is a physical addiction that is caused directly through the abuse of cocaine.
Its also a horrible high once you get addicted to it, and you really truly feel free once you break free from it.

Now is the hard part though. Because you are clearly ready and willing to look deeper and search for the reasons behind the abuse.

And that brings you to this fellowship - where we are focusing on getting to terms with the underlying reasons behind us turning to crutches to dull our emotions.

Lust addicts abuse their G-d given sense of sensuality and intimacy to feed the loneliness and resentment that is actually caused by their own perspective on life.

Its a circle that never ends until you are ready and willing to stop the abuse and listen and converse with the person covering up the feelings with the acting out - ie. you.

I am also now taking on more than one addiction at the same time and its admirable that you have come to this point - but go slow and don't be too hard on yourself!

These are amazing steps... You should be blessed to find your inner strength and purpose.
