I wish I had seriously started with GYE earlier.
I don't want others to have to wait as long as I did.
I just wanted to throw it out there that we should:

#1 Get anyone who struggles, to come here.
#2 Anyone who is here to please stay.
#3 Brainstorm as to how we can get more people aware of this wonderful site which makes what sees impossible, be possible.

You can hang up flyers in your community Shuls or shops.
I know someone that advertised a flyer of Gye in a newspaper as a Knas,it wasn't cheap.

i think that you will run into some resistance along the way i dont think the only reason why its not public is due to a lack of exposure its also got to do with the fact that people are not comfortable with gye being public or
not wanting to expose someone who doesnt know about these things
my advice advertise but i dont think people should know its you do it discreetly(just my opinion could be stupid)

I personally think this site should be brought up in schools ...cause kids know computers .....and sitting them in the dark now will only bring them here later for more difficult recovery for many of them

i think that the reason why a lot of mainstream schools and yeshiva mechanchim etc. dont talk about this is because even talking about the good can bring this into your mind which will give the yetzer hora a handle on you. this concept i heard in the name of the ball hatanye reb shach and saw it in reb wolbe sefer translated to english planting and building and he brings down a story of the chafetz chaim that seem to have the same connotations i hope that can give a different perspective on this

I don't know if it's good, or healthy to speak about it in the Yishevos, but on the other hand so many people that learned in Yishevos are struggling.

I also believe that it's not enough to know about GYE, a addict first has to recognize that he is ruining his life, and then he still has to make the decision to change.
And only then GYE and the Chevra can help him.

Well maybe open forum discussion is not the best approach from the get go ...especially if the forum is a bunch of 11-14 year olds ....but i think that the average mechanech needs to be brought up to speed what 2015 is compared to the time of the chafetz chaim .....when even the beaches were better than the sidewalks of now
