I am a struggling teenager trying to find balance in this tough and rough world. I don't know where to turn to. I am sefardic and there is no guardyoureyes.com for sefards. I am only minutely acquainted with the Ashkenaz world, but I don't know where else to turn to for help.
Can anybody recommend anything to help?

Huh?  You're Jewish, aren't you?

Sephardim have a different Torah?  Brains?  Urges?  Please help me to understand the issue here...  This community will reach out and help you regardless of whether you're Sephardi, Ashkenazi or one of the Lost Tribes...

As it happens, I do not have a drop of Ashkenaz blood in my body

Welcome, friend brother.

There are plenty of Sefardim on GYE.

Welcome home!

hi and welcome!
there are no pedigree prerequisites here, all you need a is a desire to help - yourself and others.
pour a cup of arak and make yourself at home.

Me3 I agree, ZS's post was a little over the top.  Arak, sefard or ashkenaz, I never understood how someone could drink that stuff.

Very funny, offending poster has already removed his post I would delete mine, but kedusha has deleted so many of mine recently I need to get my post count up. happen to agree with you about that Arak stuff, though.

To the original poster, as others have mentioned we welcome all types here, we even  tolerate Kedusha!

Thank you very much for all your hospitality. I feel much more at home now.
I realize Chazal's sayings holds true.
"Acheinu Ha'ashkenazim."
Thank you very much.
I am just a bit happier and bit more motivated to go on and continue my sober streak, now two days so far. Nothing too crazy, but let's see if we can extend that.

Helpless yet hopeful Jew boy.

It feels hopeless at times, doesn't it? But I think that's usually because we think, "I want to be sober for the rest of my life? No way I can do that!"

And the good news is, we don't have to do that. All you have to do is be sober for...today. Every day. But every day, your focus is on staying sober that day. "One day at a time" has gotten me through many of the yetzer hora's attempts.

Two days is huge! That's 172,800 seconds of restraining yourself. And each of those seconds is a beautiful gem in Hashem's eyes, and each of those seconds has made you into a different person. Value every second of staying clean!

And now a question - even though it may only have been 2 days, does it feel good so far?

Hey Sefardi!!!
Welcome aboard!!!
I never thought that it mattered to identify myself based on ethnicity. Not that I mind. I just didn't understand why it would make a difference. But if it does matter to you, I am also a Sefardi. SY in fact. Pm me if you'd like, and we can speak. But hang out here and learn from everyone. I have gained tremendously myself from all the guys here, and like I said, it never made a difference to me to even consider who is Sefardi or otherwise.

PS - I will agree readily that I can't understand how anybody drinks that Arak stuff. But I must say, I'd rather get wasted on that, then go near "Ptcha" or whatever it's called!!!! But I guess to each his own
I am special
I was chosen for this special mission.
I must succeed.
Klal Yisroel needs me.
Hashem needs me.

Hey, fellow helplessjewboy!

Where I come from, the people I started getting better with were mostly goyim (and still are, actually). It seems to me that you need friends, first. Nothing abnormal about that!

And judging from the responses above, you've stumbled into quite a few real goldmines already!

L'chayim tovim!!
"Off the 18-wheeler and fine on this tricycle!", "I do not particularly care exactly which "lav" suicide is. I'm not interested in it for other reasons...and you are probably the same."
