According to what I understand, the cargo ship lost control about a minute before it hit the bridge. And it regained power a few times in between, but it was too late for the captain to regain control.
Now, with the bridge down, the whole harbor is disrupted. Trucks have to find other routes. It's going to cost the world economy billions and billions of dollars. It's going to disrupt the lives of millions of people living in the area and beyond
So, that tells us that one ship, with one minute of power running normally, effects millions of people in a positive way
The next time the YH comes to you and tells you, what's one minute of learning? What's one minute of guarding your eyes? What's one minute of holding yourself back from something you know you shouldn't do? Remember, the power of one minute of mitzvos can change the course of the entire globe! One minute of power can energize all the oilamois ha'elyoinim to bring shefa, bracha and hatzlacha for all of us!
We can never imagine the power of one minute of Torah!

Thank you, Eerie!

Very good,
You can win the fight, but I'll have to live with the loser.

Any excuse you use for yourself, you must be willing to use for your wife.

Not Always can I understand others, but I can always respect their wishes.

You're human, it's okay.

One half of the world cannot understand the pleasures of the other.

If this would be The Grouchery, I would say that the lesson I learned, is that people can spend years of their life building a tremendous structure with tremendous cost and effort, and than one small loss of power can bring the whole thing tumbling down, literally in the blink of an eye .
Alas, its not The Grouchery so I guess lets stick to good cheer!
May you slide down the banister of happiness and get many splinters of success up your career

That's exactly why we need a support system, just in case if we loss power, we need someone or something to lean on.

I dont know if the cargo ship had a generator or not. But as humans trying to build structure within ourselves, we gotta have generators.

נכתב לזכר נשמת הגשר פראנזיס סקאט קי ז"ל

How do I move on, when my mood's so drear?
My mind's a barren coast, without a single cheer.
I've got nothing to boast, no triumphs to share,
Like a ghost I wander, in hopeless despair.

Once I stood tall, a bridge to cross the tide,
With pride I rose, as the waves rushed by my side.
But now my mood has fallen, my spirit broken,
My dreams are sinking, as my heart lies open.

In rivers of tears, my soul now floats,
As memories of joy, become distant notes.
Yet, amidst the gloom, a spark remains,
A flicker of hope, that through the darkness gains.

I must find the strength, to rise once more,
To face my fears, and reach a brighter shore.
I might be at a low, but my journey's not done,
I will rebuild myself, be a stronger bridge under the bright sun.

As dawn arrives, I will gather my will,
To rebuild the bridge, and climb that hill.
Step by step, I'll cross the tide,
With newfound courage, I will not hide.

From the depths, I'll emerge, a stronger me,
Resilient in the face of adversity.
For in life's trials, we find our way,
And rise again, to face another day.

While the national anthem might be below,
Bent steel, swimming with the flow.
I am certain of one thing, I know,
My personal anthem will grow and glow!

Stam, I thought I’d share, in case y’all didn’t know, that Francis Scott Key wrote a number of stanzas in “The Star Spangled Banner” that are not commonly sung or known. This is the third stanza. It’s bloody and vindictive and fits my mood perfectly.

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore,
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a Country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wash'd out their foul footstep's pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave,
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave

Whenever a earthquake happens, it's time to see Rabbainu Chananel to Brachos 59a, when explaining the gemara that an earthquake happens from Hashem's tears
