In science there is a theory in quantum physics called the Uncertainty Principle. Basically it says that if you know a particle's speed, then you cannot know its location and if you know a particle's location, then you cannot know its speed. The particle has a set speed and location, but we can never know both at once. This is not caused by our instruments. It is caused by the nature of what speed and location really are. I could go on, but it gets very complicated very quickly. My point is this. A similar idea can be used in the Free Will vs. Destiny paradox. We have free will and a destiny, but we cannot study them both at the same time. If you don't under stand this, you are probably not alone. It is quantum physics after all.

Duh, I also heard a bunch of answers... and I wasn't quoting Kabbalah, it's something I saw in a non-kabbalah sefer from Reb Yaakov Emden, and I didn't fully understand it, so I went to Reb Shimmele Hitteroigener [I know his son, whatever] and he got Reb Yaakov to explain it to me...
