Dov is going to love this:

Thank you Hashem for porn.

I get it.

And I still protest.

Thank you Hashem for getting my attention
-I may fall eventually, but does it have to be today?
-Trying to fill my God void with Hashem instead of more emptiness.
-One time is too much, and a thousand times is never enough.
-There is a small organ in man; when he satisfies it, it is hungry, and when he starves it, it is satisfied (Sanhedrin 107a)

Thank you Hashem for being Hashem.
My Rabbi always gives me the same advice. "Be happy. The world is good. Just be happy."

I disagree--Baruch Hashem, they make communication easier, but they are often misused.

TZ--I disagree strongly. Is it a good thing that society is addicted to that stuff, women are objectified, children and women are abused, etc. and that that industry makes billions in profit?

I actually came on now to edit out what I wrote because of the strong protest it garnered and all of the strong feelings it aroused [which was actually what I was trying to accomplish (obviously  )]. However since I was already quoted and all I won't cut it out.
In my thread yesterday I gave the halachic basis, today I'll give the kabbalistic basis for what I wrote [I'll do it in english to relieve Gevura's monster headache]:

Haya Hoveh Yhiyeh. [this is english, TZ?]

Hashem is everything. Ein ode milvado, there is nothing but him. What is evil then? Is Hashem evil? Hashem is Emes. Sheker ein lo raglayim- truth is good. Anything that is not good and true cannot stand. But. There are sparks of holiness spread about the universe, sparks of truth, sparks of goodness. Evil without good disintegrates, but every single bad thing in existence has some good inside of it, otherwise it would cease to exist [See Zohar Vol. II fol. 69a "Nehiri dakik chad d'nahir sacharanei"].
Toldos Yaakov Yosef [Noach, Tzohar taaseh lateiva] writes that his master the Baal Shem Tov taught him to "sweeten [harsh] judgements at their roots". Because in every calamity that befalls a person there is good. This bit of good is the only reality, in all of the bad- as explained. If we can focus on the good, and isolate the good, the bad simply falls away.
When we recognize the good in ... [anything we see] we are bringing more positivity into the world and removing some negativity.

{As a service to ZemirosShabbos, I am not quoting too many sources- but I have more sources if anyone is interested.}

TZ, thanks for your kind service. you are brave for entering that philosophical mine-field.
R' Aryeh Kaplan writes that every question in Judaism without an answer can be traced to the paradox of yedia and bechirah (free will vs. destiny), and that is exactly what you are alluding to, methinks.

I have not yet found a question-without-an-answer in judaism besides for yediah-bechira (which, by the way, I thought has an answer until Rabbi Yaakov Emden disproved it for me).
