Congratulations!  You've made it 3 weeks on our Cruise to Freedom.

I have enjoyed (and I'm shepping nachas) hearing from the Chevra how you are seeing with growing intensity the "light" of recovery.  Where before, we couldn't even tell that there was a sun thanks to the dark rainclouds overhead, now we can see an occasional break in the sky where the sun shines thru.  And we know that in time - as long as we "work the steps" and participate in our fellowship that we will be basking in "His Glory."  Amen.

Imagine how I felt when I received the following from one your shipmates:

You are amazing. your strong command about starting shabbos prep early and moving to feel shabbos - you are so on target it's scary. Thankyou Thankyou. I dressed the table tonite and already set up our neiros, and straightened up the house tonite too. I cant wait to give the oilom a big shock when I get to shul early, but mostly for ME - I am really looking forward to the yishuv hadaas of learning in shul while awaiting mincha. THAT would be so fantastic, just the thought gives me tears.
Duvie, thanx for putting it so strongly that I can tell myself I am "commanded" to do it. Yehi Ratzon that I get to accomplish it.

REALLY, what did I do?  I didn't create this stuff.  This emailed so touched my emotions, because I feel like we addicts are living in a cattle car - rolling down the tracks - with no idea where we're headed.  And if I did anything, all I did was open the door and say it's time to get off the train and partake of the awesome bounty that awaits all of us.

Yes, each of you has a latent excellence.  Notice, the definition does not say latent goodness or latent ability.  It says - latent Excellence.

That's what you have inside of you.  Most of us keep it buried very very deep inside - buried under the layers of our past where we heard or perceived a message from others that said, "don't talk, don't trust and don't feel"

Well my dear friends, IT'S TIME!  Yes it's time to throw off these suffocating messages, throw off this self-imposed prison sentence, throw off the barrier that's keeping up stuck in the past, stuck in a place where our precious Neshama can't grow.

Can you imagine taking a flower and putting it in the closet and expecting it to grow?  Without water -- with out sun.  I don't have to tell you the outcome.

Well, that's what we're doing to ourselves - when we go without "water" - TORAH and without "sun" - HaKadosh Barachu.

Fortunately, we are all in a Program now that helps us UNLOCK OUR POTENTIAL.
