I heard a vort that the Gemorah says that when Mashiach comes the nations of the world will complain that it is unfair that klall Yisroel should be rewarded because if they (the nations of the world) would have been given the Torah they would have kept it.....
Hashem will tell them that before the giving of the Torah all the nations were given a chance to accept it but that they refused....
Never the less Hashem will give tham another chance and test them with the Mitzva of
Sukkos....
They will fail the test and then Klall Yisroel will be rewarded for all that they have accomplished....
The question is that if they already had a chance before Matan Torah and they refused why are they even given another chance to try the Mitzva of Sukka??
The answer I heard is that from this Gemorah we see that the power of sukka is such that even when you had ample oppurtunity and you willfully did not take advantage of it that Sukka can give you another chance!!!!!!
Sukka is a mitzva for when it is already too late.... Because even when it's too late we are given another chance...
IT IS NEVER TOO LATE!!!!!!
Some feel that they went through Elul rosh hashona and yom kippur but failed to take advantage... Sukka is here for all of those people...... It is never too late!!!!!!!!!!
