INTRODUCTION TO SHIR HASHIRIM Shir HaShirim, literally means , Song of Songs. This Megillah / Sefer (Book of) Tanach, is a so-called love song between HaShem and us His nation. Rebbi Akiva tells us that this song is the most holy of Books in the Tanach.
