this was a quote i saw attributed to r hutner after a talmid told him he felt like he was living a double life at work trying to make as much money and at home trying to do mitzvos and learn. he responded that you should live one life all under doing avodas hashem.
if one needs to relax in order to continue serving hashem than that is avodas hashem. with this one could choose a more "kosher" relaxation also in the workplace, it isnt a this is work anything goes to make money attitude. one should always be focused on his goal in life.
i have found this idea powerful and am trying to live a single life even if it needs to be wide.
