Our protaganist's wife finds him in Starbucks when he's supposed to be in Yeshiva learning. What's he doing? He's engrossed in a book. So maybe it's not the Internet that Betzalel is addicted to. But what is he reading that is causing such inner turmoil? Is he reading books involving Pritzus? Or, is he reading material that is causing him to question his Emunah? I can only guess that it's one or the other.
Bottom line: I don't want to be in his shoes! I want inner peace - which I can never have if I allow myself to fall, c"v.
