All the more fitting for Chanuka

30:1 A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House; of David.

30:2 I will extol thee, O the Lord, for Thou hast raised me up, and hast not suffered mine enemies to rejoice over me.

30:3 O the Lord my God, I cried unto Thee, and Thou didst heal me;

30:4 O the Lord, Thou broughtest up my soul from the nether-world; Thou didst kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Rav Rage!

I missed you! It's great to hear from you again! Regards from IT25, by the way...

Chanuka is also the time when we decided to fight to give it all away, even though the odds seemed so stacked against us.

Oh, and I'm proud that I finally caught ONE musical reference of yours (love tom petty). :D

happy chanuka, my friend - it's good to have another light burning in these dark times.

and, yeah, this twisted world we were handed assumes it a fact that we will all worship at the altar of lust and so every single rebel that says "F you, world, i will deny you," is so important to the revolution.

Now, that's the Rage we know and love!

I find that the longer I'm clean, the more clearly I'm able to see things. I can see more clearly that I'm not dependent.

That's the big step - to accept that this isn't something that you need, despite what the disease speaking with your voice says.

"how do I accept becoming a martyr". If I were to tell you that if you worked for me for 72 hours straight without sleep I'll give you a million dollars, would you feel like a martyr or  pain in doing the work.  I would say think not. The reason being that the risk reward is so great that all you'll be thinking about is the million dollars that comes at the end. In fact anyone else who knew of the deal too would not feel sorry for you either nor would they think you a hero just where could they get the same deal too. The sober life is that million dollars.  Its not about martyrdom.

Fantastic - keep on rocking, man!

For me, it helps to focus on how good it feels to be clean. The disease likes us to focus on how deprived we feel because we need (insert whiny voice) this!
