Depending on how this poll goes with other factors; we might be programming an addon for Fire Fox. Just like one has the ability to click on the back button, forward and reload button on ever firefox browser. There would be a button that one would click on that would deactivate all images. One can simply reactive all images by a single click of a button.

Please give me your 2cents!

Thanks

How would it be used?  Wholesale blockage of all images, or, if I want to read, e.g., a CNN page with some indecent pictures, I could just click and make them disappear?
Just as an alcoholic needs to avoid that first sip, a lust addict needs to avoid that first slip.Slip today? No way! ;)Fall today? No way, Jose'!

Yes it blocks all images. I like the idea, with a click and make the image disappear. Im sure it can get done. Let me look into.

Thank you for your feedback.

Are you a Firefox programmer?  :D

Here's a start: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865/

Not a simple program, ive been playing with it and it is no where near user friendly. This does not do the job.

This more what I'm talking about : ) but it needs to be embedded to template of the browser or else its kind of annoying to go to tools options and un-check and check every time. You would just get tired of doing it.

I like Kedusha's idea. Something like right clicking on the image and just clicking block. plus the options of blocking all images at anytime you want with a single click of a button.

Thanks for the feedback!

So we found out that it is possible to do. If your on BBC.com or Cnn you would just right click on the image and click block. And so you can continue to read your daily news easy without any images to distract you. plus the option to block all images if you would like.

But the problem is no one has voted!! except 2 people.

Please vote! we need to know if it is worth while to publish this.  :-\

Thanks

There already is Image Like Opera https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1672 which works on Firefox up to v3.5. It blocks all images and gives you the choice to open all of the images on the page or one at a time. I use it and find it wonderful. It also works for Google Chrome. If we all ask the mechaber he might make it work with 3.6 or 4. Until then, if you have a more updated version of Firefox, just go to Filehippo and click on Firefox. You will get a list of old versions, just download and install 3.5 and you will then be able to use Image Like Opera.

If you want "Image Like Opera" to work with versions of Firefox after 3.5 send an email to the programmer. mailto:mash-funky@mail.ru

I've been using ad blocker plus, the firefox add-on for a while now and have been very pleased. Any image comes up that I don't like I right click and block it and it disappears right away and for all future visits. If I wanted to disable all images I have another add-on called web developer that does that.

Great, Yashuv!
Could we please have links to those add-ons so that we can all use them.
