Well it either is or isn't.
My vote is ...
whats the difference... someone in Yerushalayim should be able to find out...

Guys, I spoke to this Bochur a number of times on the phone. Unless he's a world-class actor, it sure sounds true to me!

Guard,
He is definitely a world class something.. that there is no doubt!
So, perhaps it is in fact world class acting?

This should be public knowledge... does anyone in the 'olam yeshivos' know first hand about this 'event'?

To all you skeptics out there, I just spoke to Yossi on the phone. When I told him we had some skeptics, he handed the phone over to Rav Michael Levi, a mashgiach in Medrash Shmuel and I spoke to him and he testified what great work this boy is doing, and that he was personally by the party. He also told me that the alcohol was only to make it attractive to the boys, but it was all under control drinking, not a drunken party, and there were other Rabbeim walking around talking to the boys at the parties... and there was divrei torah, talks and chizuk... Yossi also gave me the number of Rav Aurbach, Mashgiach of Torah Ohr who was also at the party and I can speak to if I want. He told me that Rav Aurbach has a program himself where he pays boys every week money to stay clean... He also offered to give me like 50 numbers of bochurim who were there, and he stressed how he has boys approaching him every day for "deals" and that he's currently paying 3 boys out of pocket (collecting here and there)...

So Nu, enough with the skepticism. Open your pockets and let's help this Tzadik!  :D He wants to make another even bigger party around Chanukah time.

I recall way back when in yeshiva HS, having similar bets and challenges with my friends (I never won), but never celebrating the results with a party.  It does seem odd, though to fundraise for such a party, but I guess if there's one place to do it, this is it!
