Hello. I recently had to give up movies. I love movies,  But they trigger me way too much. They skew my view of the world and make me less sensitive to Kedusha. How about you? Do you watch movies?Take the poll and write a comment please. Thanks so much.
Love,

Movies definitely have a detrimental effect....
Even totally "Clean" movies advocate foreign values, In a way that it comes across as the Norm.... It has a subconscious effect.....

Also I find that to keep you interested, the movies are designed in a way that keeps you continuously expecting..... expecting to feel a sense of identity with the characters... or exposure to-the/of-the characters.... Usually the female ones ....

And once the movie is over (and the producer got what he/she needed from you i.e. to hang on till the end...) It leaves you hanging....
It almost never fulfills the expectation that it aroused.....

They leave you with the hole that they created.... a hole that can not possibly get fulfilled....
Thus many people wind up google'ing info about the favorite character... Or watching interviews.... Etc....

It's a desperate attempt to not be left hanging....
But the simple fact is that you will never get what you seek....

They basically take advantage of you... that's how I see it...

I try to keep myself busy and fulfilled so that I wont feel a need to watch a movie.......

Much success...

well my family in general does not go to movies, they are never good and a waste of money. sometimes we go but than we go really light. the last time i watched a movie was 8th grade graduation and we watched the move Up. otherwise we don't watch movies besides for Harry Potter, we love Harry Potter and can't stay away! but like i said there has not been a Harry Potter movie for more than a year and sometimes we watch it on DVD but otherwise we don't see movies.  i am not sure i really count in this pole because of how few movies we watch, have not seen a movie for a year.
i just remembered we did see one movie on DVD that was a little inappropriate but it was not graphic so it was not triggering ans as you might know i saw that Anne Frank movie on the TV and there was a close call but it prompted me to read the diary and was inspirational. i guess it really depends on the movie and how often you go. for me i don't go often and i don't normally watch anything above PG rating sometimes PG13 but rarely. i chose the wife thing even though i do not have one my parents will generally skip those parts so...
