Does the p**n addiction lead to other addictions like spending to much time spent on the internet looking up nonsense? I have found that with my p**n addiction i have also been addicted to just surfing the internet looking for pointless material (not talking about p**n now) that i really do not care about and than i feel that same exasperation, sorrow, guilt etc. like i do after watching p**n. Is this something that will go away with the p**n addiction or it is something else i need to focus on?

In my view, a mind that's wired in one area like lust... for compulsion or addiction or obsessive or whatever word you use... will be wired for that in many areas.

For me? I take many things on with a tremendous energy. I sometimes find it hard to stop. Obviously that includes s*x (would I BE on this site otherwise?). But it's also bargain-hunting, old song lyric collecting, whatever. I had to be VERY careful in my secular youth to avoid alcohol and drugs and tobacco as much as I could because I figured I'd be the kind most likely to be addicted.

Example: some folks get addicted to tobacco with their VERY FIRST cigarette. Drugs, for sure. BUT ONLY SOME PEOPLE DO; OTHERS CAN TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT ALONE LOTS OF TIMES.

I don't know what the correlation is, or whether any particular person's behavior is truly an addiction. But I do guess that dual (multiple?) addictions are common.
