Has anyone pursued getting the message out through Chabad. They have so many means of delivering this message on a large scale; through Chabad Houses, email lists, the main chabad.org site and hundreds of local chabad sites etc etc. Plus they speak to so many Bal Tshuvahs who in my humble opinion may have higher chances of suffering from this addiction.

I did it guys. Went to the post office and mailed large envelopes to the rabbanim in my town, with no return address. They each contained a personal anonymous letter from me, R'Aharon Feldman's letter, and the two flyers. I said a silent tefillah in line. Feels really good. It will be surreal if I actually see the flyers up in any of the shuls next week.

Great Idea, just sent a message to chabad.org   Anyone wanna help me send the following letter to every single channad center listead over here: http://www.chabad.org/centers/default_cdo/aid/15676/jewish/Advanced-Search.htm
I already sent to the website itself, in addition to:
Alabama  ....out of time for now  But keep working through all the states in alphabetical order! somebody is bound to spread our cause!

It's simple, just keep fillin-in the same info into every single form. Here is the email I sent (please no comments on the first sentnce it's technicly true) feel free to edit and improve it for me:

The work of chabad may easily be the most powerfull, and far reaching kiruv effort worldwide! In recognising this, I come seeking your assistance. In the words of R Yosef Viener "I'm quite aware of what's going on in Klal Yisrael; and I will still say, that this is the SINGLE, BIGGEST problem facing us today - bar none. " Internet addiction has spread throughout the frum world, and all the more-so to Jews coming from more modern backrounds.

R shimshon Pinkus Zatz"l has a tape discussing the internet of his days, (dial-up slower than 57k) and yet every single word that he has said has been proven true, to even the biggest cynic. If only he knew HOW true. He brings a zoher that states that in the ikvesah demashichah the world will be a Va'ad Leznus. A vaad, he goes onto explain, is the collection of scholars for the pursuit of wisdom. And the area of intelect that our current generation will pool our great inds into, is the furtherment of znus (the entertainment industry). So far I have not put words into his mouth, the above is all his words.  We have sadle seen the fulfillment of this, and the great power that these words yeild.

It can be easily seen, from the comments left on articles relating to internet addiction, that there is a great need for awareness. Awareness not of the sickness, but of the readily available cure!  In short there is a website (2 years old) that provides many tools to aid in the recovery, and treatment of this addiction. The site itself is non-profit, and has recently received a Haskamah from Rabbi Aharon Feldman, a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of America, in addition to a haskamah from Dr. Rabbi Avraham J. Twerski (who responds to questions adressed to him, on the forum).

I as an active member, and recovering addict myself, ask of you to please include a link for the sites hompage, at the bottom of every article dealing with this addiciton. Please give the readers a place to turn to, other than merely posting comments on the bottom of the article. As a bachur, I have no means to pay for this as an advertisement, but I ask it of you as a favor for klal yisael. The intention of the articles os to being every single Yid closer to hashem, but sadly this issue is far greater than an article. And the same way you would freely recoment a prospective BaAl teshuvah to seek a rabbi, so too you should provide an adiquate link to Please contact the website administrator for more info at  eyes.guard@gmail.com

Please send me an email is response, after touring the website itself, and it's forum (my username is shemirateinayim)

I received the following email from chabad.com:
[quote] So far, we haven't posted public articles on this topic. We are counseling a number of individuals away from the addiction, B"H with some success. I've referred several people to GuardYourEyes already. Thanks for the reminder.

OK a few of the emails didn't work, but I still just made a big start.  Kedusha, can you please modify my letter, to make it profesional and informative. Oh, and just make the first sentence able to be edited for each individual organisation/rav.

EVEryone else:    send me contacts, and I'll do all the amils that I can!!

Not sure what you mean, but check out this e-mail that I just sent to a major Frum publication.  Perhaps you can use some of the text.

My letter is not so professional, and still needs some work. You seem to be good at these things, so would you mind just tweeking my letter (even adding paragraphs) so that the recipiants get the whole picture.  Essentialy these emails should incorporate every vital peice of information, which we would present at a face-toface meeting. So it needs to be well written.

I've already sent over 30 of them to Chabbad branches, and NCSY. I gotta start working on the Young Israel Rabbis.  But I reay should present them with a finished product. So can you help me do that

Additionaly, since there is always a need to personalise the letter, I'll add the first sintence to the first paragraph, which will more propperly pertain to the adressee.

I saved a copy of your letter in my Gmail Drafts, and I'll try sending it to every publication that I can, asking for a "grant/donation" in the form of advertisement

SE,

Everyone has his own writing style.  If you want to use a different letter, I revised my letter to the popular maggid shiur on p. 2 of this thread, to make it more suitable for other audiences.  Of course, it will still need some modification.

As noted on the "Groundbreaking Letter of Support for GYE" thread, the Rosh Yeshiva has approved and signed an alternate version of his Haskama, which might be easier for certain venues to handle (it omits use of the "P word," but is otherwise the same powerful letter).

This version IN NO WAY replaces the previous version of the Rosh Yeshiva's letter; each can be useful, depending on the venue.

Here's the link to the alternate Haskama.
