I started this post, after making too many unheeded responses to Kedushah's threads. There is SO MUCH that we can all do to raise awareness, without even getting off our chairs. Simply call the Rav of a shul and town that never heard of you. Don't identify yourself, but give him a pep-talk about addiction, offer to sent him the haskama to this site, a handbook, and poster. Let him adress it on shabbos, making 'the anonomous you', into his scapegoat( and post the material in the shul bulletin).

The intention of this thread is solely for the furtherment of spreading the word. Please limit all posts to this cause alone.

Please supply any ideas, letters, etc. to help everyone accomplish this holy task. Why should Kedushah get ALL the credit, let's do something ourselves!

I sat down one day and sent a stack of emails. Pulled just about every Jewish FB contact I have and sent them an email with the script from the handbook, with the two handbooks attached.

I'm not sure if anyone found it useful, or even if they bothered to read it at all, but that was my bit.

Anyone know if vos is neias would do an ad?

They have done ads in the past. I dont know if they are currently running ad for GYE, but I know for sure they have because thats how I found this wonderfull website!

Yeshiva World has run ads in the past (that's how I first found out about GYE). 

Indeed, I just sent the Rosh Yeshiva's letter to Yeshiva World, and to the Hirhurim blog, both of which are very popular among different audiences in Klal Yisrael.

A possible way of shameless promotion is like they do in infomercials ...
Like say something like I was once a addict and than I found Gye and now I don't have dandruff anymore.  ;D Like on forums and stuff it works more than an impersonal add and it doesn't even cost a cent.

Does anyone want to make a Utube videa for this. As the infomercial. You can post it on frumtube too.
All you will need is:
1. A paper bag to put on head
2. A script, some humor, and a storyline (use ones on the site)
3. Use Microsoft Video maker to add sunscript on the bottom of the screen with the website adress
4. If you figure out how, have the website flash on the screen for split second increments, when the diolog is favorable for inspiration. It will work as subliminal messaging, and will help people remember (seriosly it IS subliminal messaging)

I am, It just needs to be done in both a sencible way, and SO IT WON'T MAKE A CHILLUL HASHEM. True you-tube will get us spammers and hackers. So good idea. But we need to put-it out there.

If anyone here learns in YEshivas Aish Hatorah, can you get your media lab to make an interveiw video, with a silouet of the speaker. Like they do when 60minutes gets an interveiw with osama bin laden  :D

How about this, it;s already 11/12pm.  Print acouple fliers, drive to your nearest (or farthest) shul, and tape it to the front door. Just do everyone a favor and don't skimp on the tape. No-bosy has the guts to unfold the sign, since people will look at them crosseyed. However, everyone has the curiosity to read the website's name, and make a mental note of it.  Mybe also pencil-in "not Breslav"  :D

cmon who's up to the chaleenge!!!!  Oh and somebody in Ey please tell us when You got one of these signs on the Mir Yeshiva's bulletin board. (try doing it at 4-5am) the only people up, are in their own 4 amos of torah, and everybody else is definitely asleep! Fine 3-4 am if you are too scared.
