Let's assume that without any wager your chances of success are: 90% failure and only 10% success

and let's even assume that with your wager the chances are: 60% success and 40% failure

so to improve your chances of success, instead of doing the hard thing and the proper thing, truly reading the handbook, attending meetings, etc. you make this knee jerk wager and take a chance of funding some neo-Nazi

You don't listen to people from SA, who understand this addiction far deeper than you

You don't listen to people on this website who have beat their YH without foolish wagers

You don't listen to Eye who said wager $500 to GYE if you succeed and $2,000 to GYE if you fail

You can't imagine anyone in the world has a better idea than your convoluted desperate attempt to accomplish the difficult in an easy way

PS read the posts, I never post negative, but this one just called for it, sorry Chizkiyahu... learn the real meaning of the word Chizkiyahu, and nowhere will you find the words: Nazi funder in the there...

It's not only that it's clearly Ossur to give to such an "organization."  I realize this is a strong statement, and I don't say it lightly, but I honestly don't see how anyone who gives to them could possibly have a Cheilek in Olam HaBa (I would suggest that it's a Kal vaChomer from the Rambam in Hilchos Teshuva 3, 11).  So you need to find a better way.  

If you still want to go this route, I don't think the rest of us want to hear about it (even if you succeed - it's not something to encourage others to do).

Like everyone else, I'm finding this idea very upsetting.  Although there is ample room on the forum for free exchange of ideas and differences of opinion, this is well beyond the pale.  It's as if it was designed to provoke outrage, although I don't think that was your intent, and it's detracting from the real purposes of the forum.

My apologies to everyone for having the last word for now, but I'm locking this thread to allow everyone to cool off.  If Guard disagrees with me, I'm sure he will unlock it.
